But readers should not suppose that they will gain an insight into the teachings of Maimonides or even some of his teachings by reading the book. It contains Rabbi Soloveitchik’s subjective interpretations of the great philosopher’s Guide of the Perplexed. Complicating the book further is that it is based on a series of lectures delivered.
